A stage-combat worthy replica of the demon blade from the TV show, Supernatural. I used an angle-grinder, and hand files to carve this blade out of an old bowie knife. MIG welding was used to attach a steel rod for the tang. It has an authentic deer antler handle. This was one of my first projects for a steelworking class at Ohio University.
A small Audrey 2 that I built for a Props Crafts class at Ohio University.
A Foam Roast Beef for Don Giovanni's dinner party at the Santa Fe Opera for the 2024 summer season.
Flyer for a production of my play, Lasso Cave, that is being produced as part of OU's Fringe Festival.
Howdy! I'm Vance Wolf Cook, and I'm a props artisan, playwright, and occasional prop master!
I graduated from New Mexico State University with a BA in Theatre Arts in 2024, and am currently earning my MFA in Theatre Technology at Ohio University.
I began working in theatre in elementary school, and I've never stopped. I have shop experience, crew experience, and acting experience. I like to build props, manage props, and play with props.
I have been at the Santa Fe Opera for three years, returning for the 2026 summer season as a props crafts artisan.
Playwriting is another passion of mine, and I have two finished full-length plays, one of which has been produced by a local theatre company in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Please reach out at my email or cell number if you are interested in getting in contact with me.
A production photo from Ember Theatre Co.'s production of my play, HUNG!. On the left is Jackson Giffing, playing Charles Buchanan. On the right is Allison Giles, portraying Putner Burch.
A production photo of The Turn of The Screw from the Santa Fe Opera's 2025 season. The toy theatre seen in this photo was a project of mine that I'm extremely proud of.
